Hospice isn’t just a job, it’s a calling. We are often the last to witness a final breath, listening for one more heartbeat even when there is none. When people hear, "hospice," their smile sometimes fades into sadness. But hospice can really be a gift to a patient or a family.

Because hospice isn’t about giving up, it’s about showing up.

While hospice is end-of-life care, it is so much more than that. It’s caring for patients and their families spiritually, emotionally, and physically. It’s bringing comfort in moments that feel overwhelming. It’s creating peace when life feels uncertain.

Being present, holding a hand, brushing someone’s hair, whispering words of reassurance, reminding them they are not alone; it matters more than words can express. Sometimes the hospice team becomes the only family a person has in those final moments.

Our Pins for Patients at Plaza Lanes🎳was a triumphant success! Thanks to the dedication of our community, we were able to raise nearly $3,000!!! $2,000 for our Hospice Patient Care Fund in Mercer County and over $1,000 to our Celina Adult Day Center activities fund!

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all individuals and businesses who contributed to the success of this event through their participation, donations, or support. Thank you to Plaza Bowling Lanes for donating your venue, the amazing food available for purchase, and allowing us to keep 100% of the cost to bowl, going to hospice. ❤️‍🩹

We’ll see everyone who RSVP’d for Pins for Patients at Plaza Lanes🎳 Sold out! at 1:30pm today! Thankfully, our event is early enough in the day we can still have a successful fundraiser for hospice before all of the snow really hits! ❄️

Just a reminder, we will have raffle baskets to bid on during bowling, Plaza lanes will be ready to serve you with hot delicious food for purchase, and we will have a 50-50 drawing plus a door prize!
Also, the top two highest pinfall adults will win $100 each, and 12 and under highest pinfall will win $50 today!

Pins for Patients at Plaza Lanes🎳 Sold out! is still happening this Saturday, January 24 from 1:30–3:30 PM at Plaza Lanes. Weather-wise, we’re expecting cloudy, cold conditions with light snow or flurries, but no significant accumulation during event time so we should be good to go. Plaza Bowling Lanes will have hot food and drinks ready for purchase, and we’ll have 19 awesome raffle baskets up for grabs.

For everyone who RSVP’d — we’re excited to see you! And if you’re not bowling, you can still stop by to bid on our raffle baskets and support CHP Hospice. We'll close bidding at 3:30pm. Your support helps raise critical funds for CHP Hospice patient care and Adult Day Center activities 💙
