Meet Emily Goudeau ⚡️

Strength coach at The Performance Shift, working with athletes from youth to pro, with a deep focus on hockey and soccer. Her approach goes beyond sets and reps. It’s about understanding the individual behind the athlete—how they move, how they think, and how they carry themselves through every phase of performance.

Emily’s path into strength and conditioning was shaped by her own experience as an athlete. What started in the weight room became something more: a space to build resilience, confidence, and long-term durability. That perspective now informs how she coaches—grounded, intentional, and always centered on the person first.

Because real performance isn’t just built for sport.
It’s built for life.

What exactly does SoftWave TRT do?....

Your body already knows how to heal.
SoftWave TRT helps it do it better.

This isn't a shortcut. It's a signal. Delivered through unfocused shockwave technology that penetrates deeper into tissue than traditional methods, triggering a cascade of biological responses your body is designed to produce.

As our partner puts it, there are 4 main benefits:

1️⃣ Increased circulation. More oxygen and nutrients delivered directly to the site that needs it most.

2️⃣ Reduced inflammation. Less pain, less swelling, faster return to function.

3️⃣ Scar tissue breakdown. Restricted mobility doesn't have to be permanent. SoftWave helps restore what compensation patterns and time have limited.

4️⃣ Stem cell activation. Perhaps the most remarkable part. The technology stimulates your body's own repair response at the cellular level, supporting genuine tissue regeneration from the inside out.

And the range of conditions it addresses is broader than most people expect:

🔹 Chronic joint pain and arthritis
🔹 Plantar fasciitis
🔹 Rotator cuff and shoulder dysfunction
🔹 Hip and knee pain
🔹 Lower back and spine conditions
🔹 Post-surgical recovery and scar tissue restriction
🔹 Sports injuries and soft tissue damage
🔹 Nerve pain and neuropathy
.. and so much more.

This is what regenerative care looks like at the Performance Collective.

Access shouldn’t delay performance.

In Colorado, it doesn’t.

Direct access allows you to work with a Doctor of Physical Therapy without a referral. No extra steps. No waiting on permission to begin.

Because the longer you wait, the longer you stay disconnected from how you’re meant to move.

At The Performance Shift, evaluation is where clarity begins. We assess how your body moves, adapts, and compensates. We identify what’s limiting you and what’s possible.

From there, we build.
Regenerate what’s been depleted.
Recover what’s been restricted.
Evolve how you perform.

This is a Performance Collective designed for longevity. Not quick fixes. Not temporary relief. But a system built to endure.

Meet Alyssa Arms 💫🩰

Physical therapist. Dance specialist. Lifelong mover.

Dance has been her language since she was three—ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, salsa, ballroom, and everything in between. Movement isn’t just what she studies, it’s what she lives.

That lived experience is what fuels her work with dancers now.

She cares deeply about keeping artists in motion helping them understand their bodies, move with confidence, and stay connected to the craft they love most.

Because dancers deserve more than guesswork and generic advice.

They deserve precision. Clarity. Care that actually understands performance.

At The Performance Shift recovery is part of performance, not separate from it.

“Cleared for sport” is often seen as the end of rehab. In reality, it’s the beginning of true return.

Being fully ready goes beyond the injury itself. It means your body can handle load, your conditioning is rebuilt, and your mind trusts the movement again. Because coming back isn’t just physical, it’s neurological, psychological, and deeply personal.

At The Performance Shift, we look beyond the injury:
🧠 Mental resilience
🏃♂️ Movement integrity
🫀 Conditioning and capacity

Every phase matters, from those first tentative steps back into motion to the intensity of full competition. Through a collaborative model, the team behind the Shift integrates physical therapy, mental performance, and progressive conditioning to support the whole athlete, not just the site of injury.

This is how we Regenerate with precision, Recover with purpose, and evolve beyond where you started.

Some practitioners understand the body academically. Kelly? She understands it personally.
Along her education journey, she identified a gap that most care models ignore.

"Athletes were either 'injured' or 'fine.' There wasn't enough attention on the in-between: compensation patterns, nervous system overload, subtle asymmetries, breath mechanics, the buildup that eventually becomes injury."

Then life deepened everything.

"I've lived in a high-performance body. I've lived in a grieving body. I've lived in a postpartum body. And I know what it feels like when your body doesn't feel like a safe place to land."

Losing her brother. Rebuilding after pregnancy — twice. Navigating grief, hormonal shifts, nervous system overload. Kelly didn't just study these things. She lived them.

"Grief lives in the body. Stress lives in the body. Performance lives in the body. It's all connected."

That's what makes her work different. She's not chasing symptoms. She's looking at rotational patterns, force production, breath strategy, hormonal shifts, sleep, emotional load, and training volume — the entire system.

"There's something sacred about helping someone reconnect to their body. I love watching someone walk in guarded, braced, disconnected… and leave breathing differently. Moving differently. Standing differently."

Peak Function was built at the intersection of biomechanics, nervous system regulation, elite performance, and real life.

This is sports and orthopedic massage therapy that goes beyond the surface — because Kelly knows the surface was never the real problem.

Meet Tony 👋

Raised in Truckee, CA — a small mountain town just outside of Lake Tahoe. Multi-sport athlete. Football, basketball, track and field. The kind of upbringing that makes you understand what it means to live inside your sport.

His path into sports medicine wasn't a straight line. It started with athletic training at the University of Oregon, evolved through a master's program at the University of Arkansas, and then took him somewhere most people only dream about...

Two seasons as an athletic trainer with the Seattle Seahawks. 🏈

From there, he came back to Colorado to earn his doctorate in physical therapy from CU Anschutz — and it was in the midst of PT school, he met Alice.

Now Tony brings a rare dual credential to the Performance Collective: licensed athletic trainer and sports physical therapist.

That combination isn't just a resume line. It's a different lens on how athletes move, recover, and perform.

Whether you're a weekend warrior or a professional athlete, Tony's been in the room at every level. He knows what it takes to get back — and what it takes to stay there.

In season and off season training aren’t separate strategies, they’re connected phases of the same performance continuum.

In season, your sport is the priority. Training shifts to support what you’ve already built, with a focus on maintaining strength, preserving capacity, and staying resilient through consistent recovery. The goal is simple: keep your system prepared so you can perform when it counts.

Off season is where the real work begins. This is the window to rebuild imbalances, increase load tolerance, and develop cardiovascular capacity. It’s also where recovery is structured with intention, allowing your body to adapt and evolve instead of just reset.

You don’t push for more in season.
You protect what you’ve built.

You don’t hold steady in the off season.
You create what’s next.

Performance is never a single moment, it’s a process of regeneration, recovery, and progression over time. Built to Endure.

There’s a space most athletes know too well.

Cleared, but not confident.
Functional, but not optimized.

That space is where progress stalls.

At The Performance Shift, we don’t treat recovery and performance as separate phases. They are one continuous system.

Every input matters, how you heal, how you adapt, how you rebuild capacity over time.

This is where regeneration becomes strategy. Where recovery becomes measurable. Where performance is built with intention, not urgency.

Because the goal isn’t just to return. It’s to move forward stronger, more resilient, built to endure.

Where do you feel stuck in your performance right now?
