The weather will go back to colder winter temps again soon. BUT while the temps are still nice do yourself a favor. Open up every single door and window that you can. Turn on any fans you have. Circulate. Fresh air exchange goes a LONG way towards helping to keep you from getting sick and helping you get well faster if you already are. That being said. If you are prone to seasonal allergies, be sure and check the allergens and pollen in your area at places like WeatherBug before you do this.

The Sweet Benefits of Cutting Out Sugar

1. Boost Energy Levels: Without the blood sugar spikes and crashes that come from eating sugary foods, you'll experience more constant and sustained energy throughout the day.

2. Improved Skin Health: Cutting sugar can reduce inflammation and help prevent acne, wrinkles, and other skin issues. Your skin with thank you!

3.Supports Weight Loss: Sugar is a major contributor to excess calorie intake. BY cutting it out, you can manage your wight more effectively.
4. Better Mood and Mental Clarity: Sugar can cause mood swings and brain fog. Reducing it can lead to clearer thinking and a more balanced mood.

5. Reduced Risk of Chronic Diseases: Long term sugar consumption is linked to an increased risk of heart disease, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. By avoiding sugar, you can lower theses risks.

Cutting sugar doesn't mean sacrificing flavor- its about making healthier choices that support your body in the long run.

I personally battle sugar cravings and have started using Monk fruit as my go to coffee sweetener. Monk fruit is calorie-free and contains no sugar, making it a suitable option!

Every little bit of info can help!

On July 14, 2025, FMCSA issued a temporary waiver to support the ongoing transition to the Medical Examiner’s Certification Integration (NRII) system, which replaces the traditional paper-based process with secure electronic transmission of medical certification data.

FMCSA acknowledges that some drivers may experience delays during this transition and aims to prevent disruptions for drivers and employers.

What does this mean for drivers?

The waiver allows interstate CDL and CLP holders, as well as motor carriers, to continue using paper copies of medical examiner’s certificates as proof of medical certification for up to 15 days after issuance.

This waiver is effective through October 12, 2025.

Just had another CDL driver who didn't receive a medical certificate from his last exam, and was surprised I gave him one. The FMCSA has sent out several notices to Exam Doctors that CDL drivers should always receive a medical certificate (MCSA-5876) . The long form is not sufficient. The FMCSA has plans to go digital in 2025, but until then you should always have a medical certificate.
Be safe out there!

The FMCSA has ended the old vision waiver program and now has a more streamline vision exemption program in place. If you have a vision problem in one eye, you can now obtain a CDL medical card with much less hassle. Give me a call if you have any questions!
Have a great day everyone!
