Here’s why you should care more about your sleep.

So much happens while you rest — your memory is strengthened, your brain processes the day through neuroplasticity, and your body restores itself for overall well-being. Quality sleep gives your mind room to recover and your body a chance to reset. 😌

The holidays can bring joy and connection—but they can also bring stress, expectations, and complicated family dynamics. It’s common to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or even lonely during this time of year. Taking care of your mental health during the holidays means setting boundaries, giving yourself time to rest, and remembering that it’s okay to step back when things feel too heavy. At Restoration Psychology, we understand the emotional weight the holidays can carry. Our team provides a safe space to process, reset, and find balance through the season. 💛

Today is International Survivors of Su***de Loss Day, a day that can bring heavy emotions and tender memories. Grieving the loss of a loved one to su***de is a profound and personal journey, and it’s okay if today feels especially hard.
Michell Temple, LPC, reminds us that no one should walk through this pain alone. Reaching out to your community or a mental health professional can make a meaningful difference.
At Restoration Psychology, we are here to support you.
If you or someone you know needs care, please contact us at info@restorationpsychology.com or (720) 647-1522.

As the days get shorter, many people experience lower energy, changes in sleep, and feelings of sadness — signs of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). This form of depression is linked to reduced sunlight, which can affect serotonin and melatonin levels that regulate mood and sleep. Understanding SAD is the first step toward managing it. Light therapy, regular exercise, and talking with a mental health professional can all help restore balance during the darker months. At Restoration Psychology, we provide compassionate support and evidence-based care to help you navigate seasonal changes and feel like yourself again. 🌤️

Today we honor and thank all who have served honorably in the military. Veterans Day is intended to thank the living veterans for their service, to acknowledge that their contributions to our national security are appreciated, and to underscore the fact that all those who served- not only those who died- have sacrificed and done their duty. From all of us at Restoration Psychology — Happy Veterans Day.

Take a moment to breathe. 💨

When stress becomes constant, it wears us down—mentally and emotionally. Slowing down helps us reset and find peace again.

Rest isn’t a waste of time. It’s care. 💛

If you need extra support, we’re here to help.
