We Need Your Help!
MyCare is joining health centers nationwide to protect the 340B Drug Discount Program. A proposal in D.C. would replace the current upfront discount with a rebate model, forcing us to buy medications at full price — for example, paying over $600 for a drug that currently costs under $10 — and then wait for reimbursement. This shift would create major barriers to medication access and affordability for our patients, and it would reduce the savings we use to fund vital services.

Congratulations to our November Employee Spotlight winner, Betty Merritt! Betty is the Accounting Manager at MyCare. One of her proudest accomplishments at MyCare has been organizing details and serving others. She is originally from Rochester Hills and comes from a competitive family that loves to laugh a lot. Betty enjoys anything that keeps her fit—especially since she loves to cook and eat. A fun fact about her is that she once earned a bronze medal in a downhill amateur ski race. She’s happiest when she can enjoy life’s simplest pleasures. One of her current favorite quotes is, “Let your gentleness be evident to all” from Philippians 4:5. Thank you Betty!👏

We were honored to have our CEO, Karen Wood, represent MyCare at last night’s State of the County Address at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts. Pictured alongside our Board President, Judge Alyia Hakim and Judge Teri Lynn Dennings, Karen connected with many of the community and government leaders working to strengthen Macomb—a mission MyCare is proud to share!😀

Last night, we held our final Board of Directors meeting of 2025, where our CEO, Karen Wood, was recognized with a 10-year anniversary award honoring her dedicated leadership at MyCare.
We are truly grateful for Karen—and for our volunteer Board—who generously give their time, expertise, and passion to help MyCare remain a trusted community health center for the communities we serve. 🙏

Need help with food? Our mobile food pantry is here for you!
Distributions are open to all individuals and families in need of food assistance in Macomb County.

Here is our December schedule. All distributions are from 10 a.m. – noon.
