Sewing machines were buzzing last night at Moloney's as we hosted our 2nd annual "Support our Troops" Night to help the Miller Place Homemakers Club. Moloney's crafty team led by Leslie, a Moloney team member and Miller Place Homemakers Club member, helped make over 100 stockings to be stuffed and sent to our troops. It was a fun night for the team knowing we were making the holidays brighter for our American heroes!

The Holbrook Fire Department 's, Sunvet Engine Company 127's, 4th annual Cigar and Steak Night was a great success! Moloney's was happy to support the volunteers who give selflessly to the community!

On Saturday, September 6, the Port Jefferson Yacht Club and Village of Port Jefferson hosted the 16th annual Village Cup Regatta for the benefit of Mather’s Palliative Medicine Program and the Lustgarten Foundation, the largest private funder of pancreatic cancer research in the world.

Moloney's was proud to sponsor this event, and Nicholas Wheeler participated in the racing of the Regatta, making for a fun day for a great cause!

On Saturday, we attended the annual 9/11 Naming Ceremony, where 350 people were added to the wall, at the 9/11 Responders Remembered Park in Nesconset. A park in our community, built to remember and honor our hero's who have died, and continue to die from 9/11 injuries and illnesses.

Moloney Family Funeral Homes is proud to join the The Town of Islip for the Islip Goes Purple initiative. This month-long initiative is meant to bring awareness to mental health, substance use disorder and to celebrate those in recovery. Today, we pause to pay tribute to those who died on 9/11, and those who continue to suffer and die from 9/11-related illnesses. We pay our deepest respect to the brave heroes who gave their lives trying to save others, and we remember the innocent individuals who simply went to work on a beautiful September day and never returned.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and the Bentley Strong Foundation hosted its first golf outing and dinner to remember and honor Bentley Kelley, who bravely battled a rare bone cancer and passed away at 13 in March of this year. The foundation's goal is to support and assist other families fighting childhood cancer so that no one stands alone. Moloney's was honored to attend and sponsor this event, as Bentley holds a special place in our hearts and will never be forgotten.
