This Black History Month, residents and staff at Oasis Rehabilitation and Nursing came together to celebrate culture, history, and the many contributions that have shaped our communities. Through meaningful activities, reflection, and shared learning, we recognize the importance of honoring history while continuing to inspire future generations.

A big thank you to the National Honor Society students from Center Moriches High School! 💙 As part of their community service project, they collected and personally delivered 76 puzzle books to our Oasis residents. Sharing smiles, conversation, and thoughtful moments along the way. We are so grateful for their kindness and commitment to giving back to our community!

Sweet winter moments at Oasis ❄️🍪

Our residents had a wonderful time decorating snowflake cookies with icing and sprinkles! A fun, hands-on activity that brings the comforts of home right into our community.

Beyond the sweetness, this age appropriate adult activity offers meaningful benefits: strengthening fine motor skills, encouraging creativity, and gently challenging the hands and mind in an enjoyable way. The smiles (and sprinkles!) say it all. ✨

Oasis Rock Steady Boxing went full Mardi Gras mode! 💜💚💛🥊

Our Mardi Gras Edition brought together high energy boxing drills and engaging cognitive games, creating the perfect blend of physical and mental stimulation. Programs like Rock Steady Boxing are designed specifically to support individuals living with Parkinson’s by improving strength, balance, coordination, and focus in a fun, motivating environment. Oasis proudly opens our doors to our community members, training them jab cross Parkinson’s.

103 years. One incredible life. 💛

Oasis had the absolute honor of celebrating Stella’s 103rd birthday surrounded by friends, family, and peers. With cake, live music, and beautiful photos telling the story of her life, the room was filled with love, laughter, and so many cherished memories.

Stella, your story is a gift to all of us. Happy 103rd! 🎂✨
