These residents LOVED dipping their apples into caramel then topping them with so many different toppings. The toppings included: Snowcaps, Nerds, Reese's pieces, crushed peanuts, chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, rainbow sprinkles, M&M's and Hershey's chocolate syrup. A few of the residents ate the caramel right out of the container. One with her fingers and the other with a spoon. 😂They had a great time!

These ladies had a great time when we celebrated National Grandparents Day. They had vanilla & chocolate cupcakes with buttercream icing topped with a pumpkin ring. They also had a lot of laughs during the reading of some jokes about grandparents. Here's one that really had them laughing:

"Every time I go to a wedding with my grandmother, she pokes me and says, "You're next". So, whenever we go to a funeral, I say the same." 😂

We are getting ready for fall as the residents had fun tasting 7 varieties of apples! No one had heard of Ginger Gold apples before. Some absolutely loved them, including me. Fuji was the winner though!

Durning our walking club, we saw an unfamiliar visitor. The residents were so excited to see a green heron at our pond. Most of the residents had never seen one before. It's funny how small they are compared to the great blue herons. We are pretty sure it was trying to find some breakfast. 😊
