to my formerly conjoined twins: happy 2 years of separation. Happy 2 years of beating all the odds. Happy 2 years of forever and always believing in miracles. Happy 2 years of reminding me of Gods grace and mercy on June 14th. I love you so big and cannot wait to see how God continues to use your testimony for his glory. Always and forever so grateful for the amazing medical team we had at Texas Children's Hospital for also giving my girls the best chance at living an awesome life!🩷💚

It’s been two years. On June 14, 2023 my formerly conjoined twins underwent surgery after three long months. Every day I am so amazed with my girls and forever so thankful for their amazing medical team at TCH! As I sit here and reflect on the days leading up to their big surgery, there is no denying God was alongside us the entire journey. I cannot explain the trust + peace I had during this moment. 🥹🩷💚

Often times after I lay the girls down, the chaos has ended, and it’s so quietly I will sit and with tears in my eyes reflect back on everything we went through, how amazing our family, friends, small town + surrounding areas poured into our little family to help us, the prayers prayed all around the world, the most amazing doctors at TCH that God set for us at the right time. I don’t remember how I ever made it through such hard moments & grateful is such an understatement. I cannot believe it has almost been 2 years. 🥹🩷💚

What’s going on here? Is this common among twins? Do I need to push their cribs farther apart? Are they pulling one another’s hair for fun?! I cannot figure it out and I obviously have tons of questions!! Also, ignore the inside out sacks. They have figured out how to unzip them so they have to sleep with them inside out now. 😵‍💫🫠

Thank you for all the birthday wishes. The girls had the sweetest day. All day I would catch myself just reflecting on how kind The Lord has been to us the last two years. How hard we, along with you all following this page, prayed for my girls on the morning of March 1st and I just want to say THANK YOU again, two years later!! You all have no idea how each of your prayers helped me on delivery day. Looking back at our footage from that morning it’s evident that God was with me.🫶🏼💖💚 (I’ll upload that clip soon)

Interesting fact - several months ago I realized the girls know “their side” since birth Eliza was always positioned on the left and Ella on the right and till this day almost 97% of the time they will always stand or sit on “their side” 🥹
