Human trafficking training is important because it equips individuals with the knowledge to recognize and report the hidden signs of trafficking, protects vulnerable people by empowering those who might encounter it, and helps organizations reduce legal and reputational risks. Training is crucial for law enforcement, healthcare professionals, educators, and businesses, as it fosters a culture of awareness and ethical conduct, ultimately helping to identify victims and prevent exploitation.

A 17-year-old girl in the U.S., Brianne Cullen, was recently diagnosed with popcorn lung—a rare and irreversible lung disease—after vaping for just three years. She started at 14 to cope with anxiety during lockdown, like so many teens did.

She was a cheerleader, seemingly healthy, until she suddenly couldn’t breathe at practice. Doctors discovered her lungs had been severely damaged by chemicals in vape products, possibly including diacetyl—a known culprit linked to this disease.

Brianne’s life is forever changed. She now relies on an inhaler, and there’s no cure for what she has. Her mom had no idea she was vaping.

💔 Whether you're a parent, friend, teacher, or teen: this could happen to someone you love.

Vaping isn’t harmless. Let’s stop treating it like it is.

It’s Child Passenger Safety Week!

Remember: Some children may need to use a car seat or booster seat past the age of 9. It’s height and weight — not age — that determines what type of seat a child should be in.
