Anthony is a licensed psychotherapist in New York with nearly five years of experience in the mental health field. Anthony has worked with children, teens, adults, and couples across a variety of settings.

Anthony uses a number of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, strengths-based approaches, and—most importantly—Carl Rogers’ client-centered care. At the core of every session is active listening, empathy, and personalized support.

In a truly nonjudgmental and compassionate space, you’ll be able to express whatever you need, at a pace that feels right to you. Together, you and Anthony will explore insights that can help you move from where you are today to where you want to be—one step at a time.

Life can be unpredictable and challenging, but therapy can offer a steady point of connection. Welcome to the team, Julie Wisher, LCSW! Julie graduated from Stony Brook University’s Master of Social Work program and spent the first 10 years of her career working in an outpatient psychiatric rehabilitation program where she helped individuals manage a wide variety of mental health conditions, substance use disorders and comorbid medical concerns. In 2023 she shifted to Private Practice where she expanded her skill set to include treatment of children, teens, couples and families.

Julie is well versed in the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy and Trauma-informed care. Julie is thrilled to partner with OpenMinded MFT to continue providing compassionate support and clinical knowledge to those seeking services.

Julie believes in a Person-Centered philosophy: you alone are the expert on your life and hold the power to create the changes you seek; Julie's role is to be a supporting character in your journey.
