Good evening, everyone. As we approach the upcoming fire prevention week in the beginning of October, it was brought to our attention that a fire safety equipment sale could be useful for the public who may not know what exactly a good product is. So, we have decided to offer a presale for equipment that can be picked up at our open house on Oct. 7th, where we will have demonstrations of the equipment as well as other open house activities. Below will be a link that will take you to a form which will get your details and what items you want. Some items allow us to buy twin packs for a cheaper price than listed, which we will pass the savings on to you, however, if you'd like individual boxes so that you can give them to kids, grandkids, etc... you can mark "This order contains Gifts, Order products in singles.", so we know to order you singles. When you are done making your selections, hit submit and that will take you to our square account to leave a deposit. ORDERS WITHOUT A DEPOSIT WILL BE DISREGARDED!!!! Please bring the remainder of your order total with you to pick up. If you do not want to do this online, you can follow along and write your answers down and bring it and a deposit to our bingo or drop it off on a Tuesday night with the guys. Order cut off it Sept. 12th!

On the List is the following:
-Fiberglass fire blanket
-Smoke/ CO2 alarm with a sealed 10-year battery and voice alerts (not wired)
-2.5lb fire extinguisher (for small fires) with a 12-year shelf life
-4lb fire extinguisher (for medium fires) with a 12-year shelf life

You will get an Email with a copy of your order, and an Email with your square receipt when you are done.

After our post yesterday some of our firefighters sent in photos they took throughout the day. The first two photos were taken upon arrival which shows the level of damage that occurred before apparatus even arrived.

Sorry for the last minute notice at an odd hour, but we will be going live at 10 am this morning to pull the winner for the beer raffle tickets. The video will be on our page afterwards so that you can check it out at your own convenience.

At 4:33 this morning we were dispatched to an area just outside of Shoemakersville for a "large fire in the woods". Shortly after the reports came flowing in, "smoke and flames visible from 4 miles out" and then finally, "confirmed barn on fire with exposure to a second barn". Barn fires are some of the worst fires we get in our area so we responded by emptying our station. Every peice of apparatus responded, even pulling our retired engine into the fray. In the photos you can see both of our engines pumping water, our tanker participating in water shuttles, and our brush truck ready to handle any runaway flames due to dry conditions. What you dont see is our car which was out directing traffic to help support this massive operation and keep the public safe with all the trucks rushing around. If you think all that sounds impressive, just remember, we were a cog in the greater system this morning. Today's response took a lot of cooperation from many fire agencies and we can't thank them enough for the aid they provide when asked.

Introducing our second raffle for August, we have a 25 pack of tickets for our Spooky Brews Pallet of Beer Raffle. This raffle will go off as soon as we sell out, but the prize tickets are good for the raffle on October 31st.

We will be selling 25 chances at $10 each.

This raffle will be pulled on a live video here on our page after the last ticket is sold. The winner will be contacted by phone. Prize must be picked up within 30 days of the phone call or prize will become property of the Central Berks Fire Co. Due to the nature of this prize, ticket purchaser must be 21+
