This year Santa is on the go with us here at Central Berks Fire Co. He will be dashing through our coverage area on the back of our diesel-powered sleigh! We will be leaving the firehouse at 9:30 in the morning on Saturday and make our way along the route highlighted in the links below. At random waypoints along the way we will go live so you can track our progression and get a better idea of when Santa will be traveling near you.

In the graphic below you can see what it takes just to provide a single volunteer with gear to efficiently fight fires. This does not include equipment or apparatus costs. These costs have risen tremendously over the last 2 decades making it hard for small community fire companies to fund themselves. We have been trying to adapt to these changes by finding new and exciting fundraising opportunities. As you have been able to notice we have gotten away from dinners and breakfast due to low attendance and have adopted events like car shows and bingo as well as online raffles. So, while you may be wondering "why so many raffles" take a look at these costs and you will have an idea of what we are up against.

Here is your Central Berks Fire Company fundraisers rolled up into one singular post to help reduce all the searching.

Raffle 1:
Whether you are the master of the kitchen being constantly being let down by inferior pans, just tired of cleaning pans with stuck on foods, or like to blame bad pans on less than stellar meals (we are not pointing any fingers, we just know it happens), this Hexclad cookware set is just what the chef ordered! Gordon Ramsey himself designed these pans with the home cook in mind. They are nonstick (no PTFE or forever chemicals used) stainless-steel pans with the capability to be in the oven or dishwasher, and they are metal utensil safe.

Earlier today we were dispatched to a single vehicle accident. The vehicle slid off the road and crashed into a building. The driver was fine so we cleaned up debris and directed traffic until a tow truck could come clear the scene.
