Proud to partner with Ignite Professional Studies and UAMS Institute for Community Health Innovation to present:

🌱 Together We Grow -- A monthly support group for pregnant teens in Northwest Arkansas.

Our mission is to provide compassionate, non-judgmental support and build a peer-to-peer community aimed at improving birth and parenting outcomes for teen moms in NWA. Our student doulas-in-training provide evidence-based education, emotional and physical assistance, and practical community-based resources.

Young moms-to-be (ages 14-19), come join us for friendship, education and fun!

Learn about pregnancy, birth and parenting in a relaxed setting created just for YOU. Meet other teens on their journey to parenthood and the doulas-in-training who are excited to support you. We'll have 🥨snacks, 👑theme days and 🎁prizes for participation.

Location: UAMS Institute for Community Health Innovation
2708 S. 48th Street, Springdale, AR 72762
Time: 6:00-7:30pm (one Tuesday each month)

ICE is detaining pregnant and nursing women, despite a Biden-era policy requiring the department to restrict this practice and track who's in custody.

Pregnant and postpartum women in detention face:

❌ inadequate medical care and prenatal monitoring
❌ poor nutrition
❌ heightened risks of complications
❌ unsafe and unsanitary conditions
❌ trauma and chronic stress.

Detention facilities are not equipped to care for pregnant or postpartum women.
