One of the panels from my x-ray installation. Out of all the panels, this one was meant to be a bit darker and very fragmented.
This one is “broken reflection” and hard to really see as it was intended. The panels are transparent acrylic and I removed any imagery before printing in sections like pieces of broken glass. When I got the panel back, I sprayed the entire backing with a mirror paint. It was an experiment but it worked exactly how I wanted. So when people viewed all the panels, they could see through them except for this one. They would see their reflection within the art.
For each panel, I wrote anywhere from one line to multiple ones in the panel. It's much smaller text within the art. So here, I added some snippets of text from the pages of poetry written about this particular image.
