Haden Family Medicine PC Jennifer Davis Haden D.O. Here to help spread health! Dr. Jennifer Haden, DO, was born and raised in Iowa, growing up on a family farm in Northwest Iowa.

She completed her undergraduate education at The University of Iowa, earning a BA in Health Promotions. Her medical training took her to Des Moines University for medical school and then to Sioux City, IA for post-graduate training in Family Medicine. In 2014, Dr. Haden and her husband Matt moved to Centerville, IA with their daughter Lainey, later welcoming their son Henry. Dr. Haden is passionate about providing high quality, personalized, compassionate, and evidence-based primary care. Early in her career she cherished her OB service and delivering babies. Although no longer practicing obstetrics, she loves to care for newborns and families. However, she selected family medicine because of her love of caring for all ages and medical complexities. Having a trusting doctor-patient relationship helps patients find solutions that match their unique needs and values. Dr. Haden advocates for patient autonomy by presenting the best evidence and working with patients to find solutions that align with their goal and stage of life.

Happy Menopause Monday! Exercise is so vital to health, and can help with so many menopause symptoms. There is no right or wrong way to start...and plenty of free videos online. Start at home, at a gym, with a friend- just start! Don't wait for the perfect time... that time will never come.

Hey ladies!!! If you don't have insurance, or have poor insurance coverage, you can still get your screenings! Please contact the Appanoose County Public Health office to get signed up for the "Care for Yourself" program. This will cover a FREE PAP for cervical cancer screening and a FREE mammogram for breast cancer screening. How awesome is that?!?!
PAP screening is recommended for females every 3 years for ages 21-30, and every 5 years for ages 30-65 as long as the results are normal.
I recommend mammogram screening for breast cancer starting at age 40.
