Thinking about adding a new training method? Before you dive in, ask yourself these 3 key questions to ensure it’s the right fit for you!"
1. Will this drive the adaptation I'm looking for?
Every training method should serve a purpose. Whether you want to build strength, improve endurance, or increase speed, make sure the new method aligns with your goals.
If it doesn’t contribute to the change you’re seeking, it might not be worth your time and effort.
2. Will this affect the consistency of my training?
Consistency is key to progress. Ask yourself if this new method could lead to injuries or burnout.
A training method that risks injury or causes you to skip sessions can derail your progress. Prioritize safety and sustainability to keep your training on track.
3. Will this affect my ability to recover?
Recovery is where the magic happens. If a new training method leaves you overly tired or messes with your ability to recover, it could impact progress.
Make sure it complements your existing routine and doesn’t mess with recovery.
Remember, the best training method is one that helps you progress, keeps you consistent, and allows you to recover!
