To all our patients that are on Cigna Dental PPO plans:

We are aware that letters are being sent out about our office not being in network as of the end of September, however, that letter is regarding Dr. Dennis Ellison, who has retired.

Dr. Lia Risk is currently in the process of becoming “in network” with the Cigna Dental PPO plan and as soon as we are given an effective date we will be putting out that information. You can still come to this office for treatment, it will just be considered “out of network” temporarily.

We are so happy and excited for Dr.Risk taking the reins of the dental office and continuing with our wonderful staff. The office has updated in email and office name. After 40 Years of being a Dentist and much deliberation, it is time for me to retire. These years have flown by like the blink of an eye.

It’s time for me to pass to wand (or Dental Mirror and Explorer) to Dr. Lia Risk. She purchased my practice on May 1, 2021 and will take over the helm completely on Monday, June 21, 2021 (40 years to the day of when I started practicing dentistry here). Dr. Risk is a dentist in which I would go to myself and trust her completely to work on myself and family and friends.

Be sure to come by and meet Dr. Lia Risk. She, with her husband and three small children are putting down roots in our community. They are the perfect family to take over your dental needs.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff that have been and are now employed by me over the years for your dedicated and tireless work. You have loved on our patients as I have. You have each added such a great blessing to me and our dental offices I couldn’t have done it without y’all.

I will still be around and will stop by the office from time to time and say hi!

We will be staying in the community and pursuing our other loves: involvement in our church family as well as seeking out dental mission trips, playing with all of our grandchildren (we are up to 9!) ranching, gardening, beekeeping (newest interest), running our Airbnb HelloRedBarn, loving all of our animals, and of course traveling. Adventure is calling our name!

Over the past 40 years I have developed many loyal friendships in my patients both personally as well as professionally. I want to thank you for trusting me with your dental health. My patients have taught me so much in every conceivable aspect of my life from gardening, mechanical, working cows, to even what is the next best place to visit. I have had so many patients pass through these doors since I began on June 21, 1981, and I have had the pleasure to continue work on on some of them, their children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren. That is success in my eyes.

Due to inclement weather, our office is forced to close until it is safe for our employees and patients to travel. Once we are in the office, we will contact patients with appointments this week.
As weather updates come in we will make a better determination when it will be safe to reopen. Please be safe this week. If you feel you have a dental emergency please contact Dr. Ellison cell.

Dr. and Mrs Ellison would like to thank everyone for their concern and prayers during our coronavirus bout. We continue to feel better and better.

We will resume seeing patients in our offices after the 4th of July holiday break

The offices of Dr Ellison will be closed tentatively until June 29th. We will keep you update as time passes.

Dr Ellison and his wife tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday, June 13. This is such an unknown virus. We will start back once we get a clean bill of health from our physician.

WE MISSED YOU!!

Dr Ellisons office will begin accepting patients Tuesday May 5, 2020. We will have precautions as directed by CDC and Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.

Call the office 936-396-6510 to schedule an appointment

Please help us ensure the following precautions are realized:

One patient is allowed at the appointed time unless patient has special needs or is a child

We will have patients wait in their vehicles until time for them to come back at which time we will either call you or come to your car.

We will not take patients that have recently travelled out of state/country, have a fever, cough or flu like symptoms.

We want our staff and patients to stay safe and well during this time.

Our offices will remain closed during the pandemic except for emergencies. There will be a staff member working and answering the phone should you have any questions.
