Through the Opening Minds through Art (OMA) program, art becomes a powerful tool for connection, for people living with dementia. Last month’s show reminded us just how much creativity can bloom at every stage of life 🎨

Efforts including this silent auction—which featured intricate creations from nearly a dozen residents—raised a total of $1195.84 to continue this purposeful program for our memory care community.

We’re not just observing Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month...we’re doing something beautiful with it.

This June, as we stand together in support of people affected by dementia, our efforts are directly benefitting our Opening Minds through Art (OMA) program. OMA empowers residents living with dementia to express themselves creatively through visual arts 🖼️

We've put our purple to work between bake sales, jeans days, and staff salad bar leading up to , to raise $588.99 for our OMA program at Bethany Village!

We uplift this message from our parent organization because Medicaid matters to our families, residents, and the care teams who serve them.

The Senate continues debate on the budget reconciliation bill, which currently includes even deeper Medicaid cuts than the House version. These cuts could ultimately impact services for older adults and individuals with developmental disabilities—ones that our community members rely on everyday.

Graceworks leaders like Deb Lyle have recently met with our Senators in D.C., and we’re joining Lutheran providers across the country to protect Medicaid.

Today we honor the hands and hearts behind the care: our incredible CNAs. From bedside compassion to clinical excellence, their work is essential 💚 We’re also celebrating one full year of our Nursing Assistant Training Program—with a 92% pass rate (well above state average), 49 energetic individuals are now part of our Bethany Village team!

For nearly 30 years, Eva Holtman has been a dedicated cook at Bethany Village, crafting meals with care. But recently, she stepped beyond the kitchen to serve in the dining room—a rare change in her routine that turned into a beautiful moment of connection.

While helping during lunch, Eva noticed a community member visibly upset, mourning the loss of his brother. Instead of just passing by, Eva sat with him, listening as he shared heartfelt stories about his loved one.

Eva’s kindness and compassion in that moment are a true reflection of , and a wonderful example of what makes our Bethany Village community an atmosphere that is truly more than home.

On Sunday, Reverend Scott Nellis was officially installed as Pastoral Care Specialist in our community. As a minister of Word and Sacrament, he will proclaim the Word of God, administer the sacraments, and provide spiritual support to the many individuals who call Bethany home – as well as their families. We look forward to your ministry, Pastor Scott!

This morning, Pr. Abrams installed Pr. Scott Nellis as Pastoral Care Specialist at Graceworks Lutheran Services & Bethany Village!
