Mother’s Day is coming. For many, it’s a time of celebration. But for others, it brings up deep pain.

Maybe you’re missing your mom.

Maybe you’re a mother missing your child.

Grief is so personal. A mother’s love is personal. And when we lose that love, the ache is unlike anything else.

That’s why I’ve created a free online series to offer support during this tender time.

We all need community. Pen pals may feel like a thing of the past, but what a great way to connect with someone else who has been through a similar journey.

We believe strongly that connecting with other widowed people is key to surviving the death of a spouse or partner. There's absolutely no need to go through your grief alone, and our Widowed Pen Pal program is a great way to get connected. When our person dies, physical reminders of their presence do not just disappear. If you shared a home together, their belongings are likely everywhere . . . things like their car keys, glasses, deodorant, or toothbrush. Not wanting to move their things is SO normal. It is okay to leave things just as they are right now.

Thank you to Centerville High School for inviting us to encourage students today for Hope Squad Week! Students made pocket-size affirmation cards ( a messsge to remind themselves of their worth ) and a 2nd card to encourage someone else. Remember, you matter and remind someone else of this too!
