Week 3 of the Merrick Medical Center Step Challenge is complete, and the teams continue to build momentum across the community.

Central City Public Schools currently leads in total steps, while Merrick Medical Center remains in the lead for average steps per employee.

With one week left, we encourage everyone to keep moving and finish strong. We look forward to sharing the final results next week!

Over the past year, Merrick Medical Center has been proud to take part in 100 Acts of Kindness across our community.

These efforts have included supporting local organizations, providing nutrition education and wellness resources, partnering with schools and community groups, and helping lead initiatives that promote health and well being across Merrick County.

We were also grateful for the opportunity to help support the Merrick County Child Development Center. They play such an important part of our community.

We are thankful for the opportunity to be part of these efforts and look forward to continuing to serve and support our community in the future.

As we head into summer, Merrick Medical Center is joining several local organizations for a four-week community step challenge focused on wellness and friendly competition.

Participants are tracking their steps each week, with updates shared to highlight progress and keep teams motivated.

Week 1 results are in and show a strong start across Merrick County, with Merrick Medical Center barely leading the teams.

We will continue to share weekly updates as the challenge continues.

We recently recognized the Merrick Medical Center Auxiliary, a group of more than 75 volunteers who give their time in support of our patients, staff and community. Their contributions play an important role in supporting care across our organization.

At a recent celebration, several members were honored for their years of service, ranging from 5 to 15 years.

The Auxiliary also supports Merrick Medical Center through efforts like the Hospital Thrift Shop in Central City, which is made possible through volunteer support and community donations.
