Washing Hands Guide! 🫧
Making sure your child washes their hands thoroughly is an important step towards building their healthy habits and keeping them safe from germs and viruses. Many illnesses are spread through hand-to-face contact; so it is important that your child learns this vital sanitation skill. Printing out a guide, like this one, and hanging it near the sink can help your child remember every step. We recommend singing a song, like the ABCs, to ensure the 20 seconds are met and to make it a more enjoyable process for your child! 🎶🧼

Most children consider their pets as part of their family and as friends. Losing a pet to old age, illness, or accident can be difficult for a child. It is important that children learn healthy ways to cope with difficult things. Keeping them mentally healthy will impact their physical health. Let your child know the truth about their pet’s death. Let them know it’s natural to feel sad and they are not alone. Look ahead by keeping ways to remember their pet, yet still move on.

Teaching your child to cover their mouth when they cough and sneeze is an important step to building healthy, clean habits and being considerate of others health. Germs and viruses spread through the air and can cause influenza, colds, coughs, and other respiratory illnesses. The best way to cover a cough or sneeze is with a tissue or an arm.
