The City of Central City is currently seeking candidates for the position of Water & Sewer Maintenance Worker. A City Application must be completed and may be supplemented with a resume. This position will assist in maintaining the city’s water and sewer utility infrastructure. All applicants must possess a Nebraska driver’s license, and have or be willing to obtain a Grade III Water certification from the State of Nebraska

ELECTRIC LINEMAN OR APPRENTICE
CITY OF CENTRAL CITY

The City of Central City is currently seeking candidates to fill a vacant position in the Electric Department. The following criteria will be considered in evaluating candidates:
1. Applicants must have a CDL license, or obtain one within 6 months, and the ability to operate heavy equipment.
2. Skills in maintenance and repairs to the electric distribution and subtransmission system.
3. Ability to climb poles.
4. Ability to work at heights over 20 feet.

This position may start out as a Groundman with the requirement of advancing to a Lineman position (including classes and testing).

Starting salary will depend on experience and qualifications – projected between $20.00 and $35.00 per hour. A starting salary at the top end of the scale will require being qualified to work as a Lineman. The City provides a highly competitive benefits package. A City Application must be completed and may be supplemented by a resume. Application materials will be received through December 20, 2024 or until a suitable candidate is found..
