Mars-Jupiter Square May 4, 2026
A potent aspect between Mars and Jupiter takes place on May 4, 2026 at 7:08 pm PDT. Mars will be at 19°30’ Aries and Jupiter at 19°30’ Cancer.

As Mars has been stalled energetically by Saturn in Aries, this square with Jupiter may jumpstart the Mars in Aries energy in greater action. This combination can be highly active and expansive to get one's activities going. Since this is on a Monday, it may really initiate a supercharged week ahead.

Things that have been grinding away and taking their time to get done, this is an aspect to help us come into an opening to gain momentum.

In the world, this is where we may experience more drama in the world after having the lid placed upon it that has contained much of the Mars' ambition and volitility.

When we look at a given astrological aspect, it is important to see the unfolding relationship between 2 given planets. In this case with Jupiter and Mars, the seed point or conjunction point took place on August 14, 2024, at 16°40’ Gemini. At that time, things were moving at a fast pace as the US was gearing up for a General Election.

There was an opposition between Jupiter (in Cancer) and Mars (in Capricorn) on Jan 10, 2026 in the middle of a stellium in Capricorn that Mars was a part of. That was correlated to an acceleration of dramatic and volitile polarization in Iran and the United States (particulraly in Minnesota).

The next conjunction between Mars and Jupiter will be very different from the last on because it will be a triple conjunction of Mars, Jupiter and the South Node at 25 degrees of Leo on November 15, 2026.

Mercury enters sign of Ta**us May 2, 2026
At 7:56 pm PDT on May 2, 2026, the planet Mercury will enter the sign of Ta**us. This entry helps to break apart the ongoing and massive stellium in the sign of Aries.

The bottleneck in the sign of Aries is starting to crack open and Mercury entering into a more "take it easy" sign will assist us all in having more a thorough physical experience with our mind.

Mercury in Ta**us is about the physical realm and utilizing one’s senses to connect with the world around us. It is a time to discover the natural beauty, pleasures and comforts within and without.

This transit emphasizes the mind's interconnection with the body and its importance. We are all spirit in matter, working with the relative physical heaviness, but also a different kind of freedom and experience that goes along with it.

In combination with the Sun already in the sign of Ta**us, this 2+ week period when Mercury is in Ta**us, it is encouraged to go out to experience nature, taste good quality and healthy/nourishing foods along with other benefits of being human. It can be as simple as wearing comfortagble clothing more often and relaxing with freinds while enjoying the pleasures of life.

Mercury will stay in the sign of Ta**us until May 17, when it enters Gemini.

Happy Full Moon in Scorpio May 1, 2026!
Our next Full Moon is at 11°20’ Scorpio on May 1, 2026 at 10:23am PDT. This Scorpio Full Moon is close to the cross-quarter point (halfway between 2 seasons) in the Scales constellation and squares Pluto. This is a lunation that can assist us in our relationship with the polarity between power and powerlessness.

This is also the first of 2 Full Moons in May. The 2nd one takes place in Sagittarius on May 31st.

The Sabian Symbol of this Full Moon is 12 Scorpio - A Brilliant Assembly of Dignitaries at an Official Embassy Ball.

What's up with the planets in May?

There are 2 Full Moons in Scorpio and Sagittarius respectively this month along with the breaking apart of the Aries stellium that has bee very persistant in the last several weeks.

I addition, Pluto stations retrograde on May 6, continuing its deep transit through Aquarius. This will setup a series of trines with Uranus and more double sextiles with Neptune, especially for July when Jupiter gets involved as well.

From May 12-25 is an especially charged and period full of changes as the inner planets all change signs, a New Moon in Ta**us and ending that period with a Mars-Pluto square on May 25.

Lastly, on May 31, we experience our second Full Moon, this time in Sagittarius with the star Antares, the Heart of the Scorpion constellation.

Now that Uranus has fully ingressed into the sign of Gemini, we are setting up another very rare alignment of outer planets in July and August that includes Pluto, Neptune, Jupiter and Uranus.

2026 is really a year that is making it known to humanity that we are transitioning into a new era. However, the transitions can be filled with a lot of confusion and chaos in addition to moments of extraordinary heart and grace.

The seeds of new ideas are coming in but it can take a while to see and take advantage of the results.

"Individual human beings are coerced more widely and more decisively throughout the world by technocrats of various types in control of the tremendous powers released by our technology, and the planet as a whole is being poisoned by the waste-products of our truly insane lust for greater production and consumption." - Dane Rudhyar, astrologer in his book, "We Can Begin Together".

Rudhyar published those words in 1974, over 50 years ago. It rings true even more so today. I believe we are in the bottom of the dark age of our current era and entering an intermediate period of years where things will need to be sorted and collective wounds dealt with in a healthy manner.

As we journey together in this new intermediate era, it is important to focus more on how we can work together rather than further divide people. The air signs of Aquarius (where Pluto is) and Gemini (where Uranus is) can be highly social at times and where community can really be of support to them. Even if we don't have any Aquarius or Gemini, we will be influenced by these planets in our environment.

As Jupiter is still in Cancer, we can utilize this astrological archetype to be of support to each other and show we can be human regardless of political ideology or nationality or culture expression. This doesn't mean it will be easy, but it is possible. When Jupiter enters the sign of Leo on June 29, just before the major July aspects, self-love will be an even greater priority. And we can extend that with others in co-creation. Changing the direction of humanity starts with ourselves without having any attachments to how that unfolds.

Yesterday, April 25th was a significant day in astrological transits that were also tied to events. Uranus was in the last moments in the sign of Ta**us, then entered Gemini and Mars reached the mid-point between Saturn and Mercury in Aries and the Sun moved into a square with Pluto.

The most impactful story in the US was the armed confrontation at the White House Correspondence dinner in Washington DC. This happened about 12 minutes before Uranus entered Gemini and also while Uranus was squaring Trump's Ascendant in Leo almost exactly. 2 years ago, Uranus was squaring Trump's natal Mars in Leo when Trump experienced an attack just before his nomination as the Republican candidate for President. At that time in July 2024, Mars was conjunct Uranus in Ta**us, also squaring Trump's natal Mars in Leo.

Also, on April 25, on another continent in the nation of Mali (Africa), Al-Aqeda launched an attack on the military and government of Mali. There were bombings in Columbia (2nd day in a row), South America and in Northern Ireland.

Part of the energy here is related to Mars, now moving away from Saturn. For a short period of time, Saturn was able to somewhat contain the energies of Mars in Aries. Mars was 4 degrees from Saturn on the 25th and now it is 5 degrees away from Saturn at the mid-point between Mercury and Saturn. Mid-points can sometimes have an impact in triggering astrologically-related events.

But Uranus at the end of its time in Ta**us for another 84 years was showing us where surprises can happen with the Ta**us comforts of life. Uranus is here to help us understand our relationship with our conveniences of life and potentially revolutionize that relationship. Now that Uranus is in Gemini, the priorities are shifting to areas of communication, education, imagination and the development of technologies related to those areas. We could also see the potential for the duality we live in to be emphasized in such a way that the solution may come from pathways to unity . . . but first through unpredictible divisions to get there.

Mercury-Jupiter Square April 26, 2026
While we enter a new long-term period of time with Uranus in Gemini, Mercury squares Jupiter at 18°20’ Aries/Cancer on April 26, 2026.

Mercury squares Jupiter at least twice each year. In this current square between those two planets, it emphasizes a perception of the world in attempting to protect what we feel may be our mission and purpose with a concentration of family and feelings involved.

For us, this is a chance to prioritize what we want when we are looking at the world and deciding how to protect our families and that which matters to us. It is also about being quick in our thoughts and learning to trust our instincts.

Jupiter's role here is not just about expanding our definition of family and household, but also about what we really care about. The square between the 2 planets can bring in tension, but it is also in how we react to the tension and potential frustration that can be born from such an aspect. Can we work with it in a beneficial manner? Or do we succumb to defeating ourselves and our purpose?

What are our feelings? Do we repress them in order to do the necessary work? Do we keep them closeted because we may think they get in the way? This is a chance to cultivate more compassion for those around us regardless of ideology, nationality, ancestry or other differences. Jupiter in Cancer helps us to connect with the greater "human" family.

While this square is just one day, it is something that can be experieced for about 3 days while Mercury is racing through Aries. That period is from April 25-27.

Mercury will soon conjunct Eris and Chiron on April 30 and May 1 on its way to the sign of Ta**us on May 2.

Uranus in Gemini April 25, 2026
On March 13, 1781, Uranus was discovered by British astronomer William Herschel. Uranus was in the sign of Gemini when it was discovered, and the Colonies in America were fighting for independence from Britain. We are now entering a time of the 3rd Return for Uranus to be in Gemini since that time and April 25, 2026 marks the full return of Uranus in Gemini after the 4-month transit of Uranus in Gemini between July and Sept 2025. We're also in the Uranus Return of the USA.

The planet Uranus’ key statement in astrology is “unplanned, unpredictable and unexpected changes of great novelty.” It can also be described as a planet of embodied chaos.

In shamanic astrology, Uranus is considered a “celestial world” planet where linear time does not exist. It can connect us to the divine abode of the cosmos and all of its knowledge and wisdom.

Uranus can help us create moments of “breaking through” to our next level of the soul’s journey on Earth. But it does this through surprises in our life as subtle as an epiphany or dream or as dramatic as a lightning bolt.

There are several major themes operating in the middle world showcasing Uranus in Gemini over the past 2 ½ centuries. These are outlined below:

Communications Tech Advancements/Developments.
- Battles of propaganda & ideologies.
- Surge of energies around freedom & independence.
- Transportation technologies gaining critical purchase in societies.

Venus-Uranus Conjunction and Venus in Gemini
Prior to entering Gemini, Venus Conjuncts Uranus at 6:58pm PDT on April 23 at 29°53’ Ta**us. This will be Uranus' last conjunction with any planet before entering the sign of Gemini on April 25. This takes place against the backdrop of the Pleiades stars.

The Venus-Uranus conjunction reminds us of what we have to be grateful for, especially in regards to our comforts and pleasures in life. Nearly everything we have materially in our lives is due to Earth. Ta**us is symbolic of those comforts, conveniences and pleasures we may take for granted.

This conjunction is also symbolic of our values and how we value ourselves in our relationships in the world. Do we always put others above us? Or do we value ourselves first in a given relationship, including with Earth? I think for most people, we can sometimes lack valuing ourselves to our detriment. This conjunction is a chance to feel into what is right and/or out of balance in our relationships, including with the Earth and the material world. Perhaps we can work on more unique ways to engage with Earth in a balanced manner while also feeling the comforts of what Earth and others offer.

Venus enters the sign of just Gemini 2 days before Uranus enters the sign of Gemini. Venus in Gemini brings in the feminine expression of the Peter Pan archetype, a more playful, trickster-type, curious and receptive energy for humanity.

Another facet of Gemini is that of the messenger, poet and bard. Venus helps bring in a more thoughtful version of the bard and one that considers a more thorough process rather than only spontaneity.

Venus stays in the sign of Gemini until May 18, 2026.

Over the last weekend, I was at the New Living Expo and part of an astrology panel on April 18. We discussed the the year ahead and some of the bigger transits taking place.

If I had to pick the most important transit this year for the world, I would choose the Saturn-Neptune conjunction pattern. That took place back on Feb 20, 2026. While that is just a 1-day conjunction, the influence of the conjunction began in 2024 and continues into 2027. 2026 is just the center of the conjunction period.

More ripples of this conjunction will undoubtedly take place the rest of the year. The breakdown of the illusions is already happening along with the emergence of reality. The funk that civilization has been in since Neptune was in Pisces (2011) along with the beginning of the end of the illusion period in 2023 (when Saturn entered Pisces) is close to ending.

But it will take a long time to awaken to a new world already being seeded right now. The awakening period may be a multi-year initiation for humanity and consist of the confusion of who we are and what we want. Humanity's identity is on the altar and we are in a time where anything is possible, especially in the type of future we want/choose to co-create on this planet.

Currently, we are coming out of the triple conjunction between Mercury, Mars and Saturn that took place on the 19th and 20th in Aries. The separation of these planets is just now starting, especially that of Mars/Mercury with Saturn. Saturn has acted as a container for this intense Aries energy. But now we are beginning a period of release. This post-conjunction time may show us the reality of what was contained.

The Sun's ingress into Ta**us on April 20 is helpful, joining Venus already in Ta**us. This may balance Aries' kinetic energy with Ta**us' softness and desire to rest and be comfortable. Venus will then conjunct Uranus on the 23rd before entering Gemini that same day.

Mercury-Mars-Saturn Conjunction on April 19-20, 2026
We are moving into a triple conjunction in Aries with Mercury, Mars and Saturn all at 7 degrees. The exact conjunction of Mars and Saturn takes place at 07°51’ Aries on the 19th while Mercury and Mars conjunct at 08°36’ Aries on the 20th.

These 2 days reside at the heart of this Aries stellium in April. At times, Saturn can express itself as a container for other planet's energies. In March of 2020, when Mars entered the mid to late degrees of Capricorn, it later came into a conjunction with Saturn on March 31. But Saturn's presence in the late degrees of Capricorn (with Pluto and Jupiter) helped bring things to a hold across the world.

We can see some similarity with the current oil crisis and how stoppage of the flow of oil through the Starit of Hormuz is creating ripple effects through the globe.

At the same time, the Mars energy in Aries can often take the lead and sometimes overwhelm Saturn, creating opportunities for conflicts and increasing tensions. It is typically the after effects of the conjunction (once Mars and Mercury, which move faster than Saturn, transit beyond the influence of Saturn in the coming weeks that the containment ends).

Aries itself is a strongly felt energy that just wants to find its mission and go without much thought. It is instinct in action, similar to Mars. The larger stellium has been highly influential in our experience of coming to greater awareness of the divisiveness and splintered parts of humanity. In a round-about away, it may later help us find pathways to come together in the long run in the coming years.

This is a time for us to be more conscious in how we react to stressors and tensions in our life. It is a time to find our breathe and take time out to find a more healthy and constructive purpose for the overflow of Aries energy.
