Just a quick note to our Sun God Medicinals community from founder Brie Malarkey:

Today cannabis has been federally approved for reclassification from Schedule I to Schedule III, marking the most significant shift in U.S. cannabis policy in decades, with implementation expected in the coming months.

This does not mean federal legalization. But it does introduce real operational changes for state-licensed cannabis businesses across the country. At Sun God Medicinals we are monitoring these changes with hope and optimism that the plant will be better regulated and researched, but also craft cannabis is given a pathway to be a dietary supplement in a cGMP environment.

A plant by the people and for the people should not be entirely controlled by big business and big pharma. This healing plant has been a part of legend, lore, and herbal traditions for over a millennium. Happy Thanksgiving from Sun God Medicinals. We’re taking a short holiday break and will be back to normal hours on Monday, December 1st.

Today, we honor the Takelma, Shasta, and other local tribes whose traditional lands we live and work on here in Southern Oregon. These communities cared for the land for generations, and their stewardship continues to inspire us.

A little plant story for your table: cranberries, native to the northeastern U.S., were cherished by the Wampanoag and Ojibwe for food, winter preserves, dyes, and even medicine. Today, these bright red berries still bring flavor and tradition to Thanksgiving tables across the country.
