This is why a good pre trip is so important. First it could save a life. Second if one was not done, then this company is not only liable, but negligent. When there is negligence involved the lawsuits are far worse.

Good Morning

Just wanted to touch base with you on how many of our customers use the Stay Inspected System to dramatically decrease their equipment downtime.

Here is what they are doing:

· Drivers perform their pre-trip inspections before they start their workday. Then they go to work. As soon as they are done with their inspection it is automatically sent to your office for record keeping, but also your shop manager.
· Your shop manager can then review the FAIL reports. Each of these failures will have a photo of the failure included, so they can see where the problem is. They can then call the driver to get more info if needed.
· Shop Manager can then prioritize these repairs and order or round up all the parts that are required.
· By the time these trucks return for the day all the parts are ready and the shop knows the order that they need to work on them.
· Trucks are then repaired and ready for the driver the next morning.

Currently shops have no idea what is coming in until the truck gets back for the day and they turn in their reports. It is then a mad scramble to try and get the parts required in time to finish the truck for the next day.

All garbage trucks need to have a pre trip inspection done prior to every shift. If you have to do it anyway, why not use an inspection designed just for garbage trucks? We have inspections that are tailored specifically for garbage trucks. Even better they are done electronically on any smart device and then transmitted to the correct people. No more coffee stained, poorly filled out, illegible inspection sheets👍 DM, Email, or call to learn more!

Do you have a setup similar to this? If you do make sure you are doing inspections on both the truck and the chipper everyday prior to use. OSHA requires these inspections be done and kept for a rolling 90 days. If you are looking for an easier more efficient solution to the traditional inspection process let us know and we can help. Wether by paper or digitally, please make sure you are staying compliant. There are far better things to do with your hard earned money than give it to OSHA to pay fines.

Paperwork Wednesday👍 Pick a day every week to go over you paperwork and make sure everything is in line and current. Choosing a day that is typically not too crazy will help you stay consistent in keeping up on it, without businesses getting in the way. If you hate paperwork and want to eliminate some of it, let us know and we can help.

Is your system for daily inspections working? Many customers tell me they have a robust and effective inspection program that works for them. When I hear this I do not tell them that our system is better and that they should change. Instead I ask them about heir system to see if I can apply some of their ideas to our system to make it even better. Our #1 goal is to help companies get a effective inspection program in place. Get them safe and compliant. If our system fits into this plan than even better. We know that the Stay Inspected system can be a tremendous asset to companies, but is not for everyone.
