I was at a local gun store a couple of days ago and listened to some pretty terrible, fudd advice being given to a new shooter.
There was some accurate advice sprinkeled in there, too, like the importance of keeping your firearm cleaned and lubricated... then followed up with how they don't carry in a holster, just tuck it in their waist band...
So I'm probing the idea of offering a very basic, shooting fundamentals course, or maybe coaching, for new and experienced shooters. I'm not offering advanced tactics, or anything of the sort. Just very basic coaching.
• Firearm make, caliber, and ammo selection
• Grip and Stance
• Sighting and recoil control
• Holster selection
• Carry positions
• Presenting from a holster
• Maybe working up to B8 drills
• Stripping, Cleaning, Lubrication, and storage
What do yall (the general public) think about coaching?
