Yesterday Heritage Hall hosted our first ever Chili Cook off! 🥣
Big thank you to Jack, one of our residents for suggesting such a fun event!
In total we had 9 chili's in the competition, which is amazing! Huge thank you to all the staff that helped during the event, judged, or made a chili...we really couldn't have done it without you guys and everyone had so much fun!!!

Dimension of Wellness: Emotional

Activity: Veterans Appreciation

Story: Veterans day is a day we show our gratitude and love for our soldiers who bravely fought for our country and our freedoms. Our friends from Central Missouri Hospice helped turn those words of gratitude into a tangible item for our Veterans yesterday. We got to honor all our Veterans from residents to staff with a appreciation certificate and a pin. We couldn't be more proud to have these Veterans in our building and the heart warming feeling you can see on their face when receiving their certificate!

For Halloween our staff giddy on up into Western gear, we had residents who dressed up to hand out candy, and all the families that came and joined us!
Thank you to everyone who helped make this day happen we had some amazing staff who helped make it a darn tootin good time!

Activity: Piano Playing

Story: When Ms. Linnie moved into our community one of the first things she noticed was our piano. She had told us she loved to play but hadn't been able to for a long time after injuring her hand. Well today was finally the day for her to give it a try! She bounced right into the rythme of it. As the music rang down the hall of the building we seen staff and residents being to gather to hear her accomplish her goal of getting to play again. We couldn't be more happy for her and told her we can't wait to hear her play every day!
