Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult things we face in life. That’s why our funeral directors, like Whitney, are here to help you every step of the way.

Whitney Waddell wears many hats at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home. Not only is she our co-owner, she has also been a licensed funeral director and managing embalmer since 2014 when she graduated from Jefferson State. She offers families more than a decade of experience and finds a deep sense of purpose knowing that she can offer comfort and support during one of life's most difficult moments.

She and her husband have been married for 15 years, and they have two wonderful children. Whitney loves to serve her community by volunteering in various children's organizations.

Hey friends and family and members of the clinic and funeral home Ekklesia crew! The devil has pitched a bit of a tantrum and I’m having to have emergency surgery to correct a problem he’s caused. Mr. Harry Kastanakis III, age 70 of Sand Rock, passed away Sunday October 12, 2025, at his residence after a valiant battle with cancer. Harry was born on August 12, 1955, in Pensacola, FL, the son of the late Harry Jr and Nadine Kastanakis.
