Corsica River Mental Health Services, a subsidiary of Crossroads Community, is a non-profit mental health and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) clinic providing caring, effective, and highly accessible treatment.

Locations and hours vary by county, and limited overnight shelter is available in some areas.

Due to unpredictable winter weather forecasts for our Mid Shore Service region, including the potential for significant snow and ice, we are taking proactive steps to prioritize safety.

For Monday, January 26, and Tuesday, January 27, all offices will be closed, but services will continue virtually. All prescriber appointments will be conducted via telehealth. Therapy services will continue as planned, with providers communicating directly with clients regarding any adjustments.

If widespread power or internet outages occur, some appointments may need to be canceled on the day of service. Updates will be shared as needed.

Crossroads Community & Corsica River Mental Health Services recently hosted our Annual Client Holiday & Awards Celebration, honoring the dedication and achievements of our clients and staff. This year, 232 awards recognized milestones in recovery, personal resiliency, and inspiring journeys.

A highlight of the evening was the John F. Plaskon Special Recognition Award, presented to Gloria Bowen at Main Street Housing for her leadership in reducing mental health stigma and supporting life-changing housing programs.

We also celebrated outstanding staff members Kaitlyn Carwell, Laura Christ, Mackenzie Gardner, Stephanie Younce, and Tracey Patrick for their unwavering commitment to clients and our community.

💙 The event was a heartwarming reminder of the power of connection, recovery, and compassionate care.

💥This news made the rounds everywhere… except here. Let’s fix that.

On December 17th, Kara Morris was selected as Executive Director of Crossroads Community and Corsica River Mental Health Services following a board-led selection process. Kara began her journey with our organization in 2014 and has served in multiple roles, including program leadership and Acting Executive Director, before stepping into this position.

Her growth within the organization reflects our mission, our values, and our commitment to developing strong, compassionate leadership from within as we continue to serve our community and expand access to behavioral health care.

Let’s all congratulate Kara on stepping into her role as Executive Director! We’re thrilled for her leadership and excited about the bright future ahead for Crossroads Community and Corsica River Mental Health Services.

A huge THANK YOU to David A. Bramble, Inc.! 🙏

As you can see in the photo, our Corsica River Cambridge office developed a massive pothole leading up to one of our entrances, creating a significant potential hazard for staff, visitors, and clients. While we weren’t quite ready to repave the entire parking lot, David Bramble, Inc. stepped in and generously donated patching to repair the hole, keeping everyone safe and accessible.

By generously supporting our nonprofit and helping us address this hazard, David Bramble, Inc. shows their commitment to keeping our community safe and accessible.

This collaboration is a perfect example of how businesses and nonprofits can work together to serve the community. Thanks to their generosity, our team and those we serve can continue our work with one less hazard in our way. We are proud to have such community-minded partners and so thankful for the difference they make every day!
