📢 PRESS RELEASE

Crossroads Community and its subsidiary, Corsica River Mental Health Services, are pleased to announce that Kara Morris has been appointed Acting Executive Director for both organizations.

Morris, who also continues to serve as Program Director for Crossroads Community, has more than a decade of experience in behavioral health services and community leadership. In her dual role, she oversees program operations, strategic goals, and staff development across Residential Recovery, Community Recovery, Respite, Health Home, and Vocational services, ensuring that individuals and families throughout the Mid-Shore region receive high-quality, person-centered care.

Morris began her career at Crossroads in 2014 as an Employment Specialist, where she helped individuals find meaningful work opportunities. She advanced through a series of leadership roles, including Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) Coordinator and Residential Rehabilitation Program (RRP) Coordinator, before being named Program Director in 2021. Her steady leadership and dedication to service led to her appointment as Acting Executive Director in 2025.

A lifelong advocate for rehabilitation and community service, Morris earned both her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services (2003) and Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling (2005) from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She holds professional certifications as a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP), Child & Family Resiliency Practitioner, and Registered Peer Supervisor.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Morris is actively involved in her community, contributing to organizations such as her church, the Kent County Farm Bureau, Gunston School, and 4-H. She resides in Kent County with her husband, Bradley, and their children, Oliver and Cecilia.
