Twas the Friday before the first week back to school and the band room is all ready for the amazing year of rehearsals and performances ahead. Looking forward to seeing all of our Lions Band members back next week!

Attention all QACHS Marching Lions Band Alumni! We would like to invite you to be a part of the 2025 QACHS Marching Lions Alumni Band. The band will be a part of the Homecoming activities that are to take place on Saturday, October 11th. Rehearsals will be on Tuesday, September 2nd, September 16th, September 30th, and October 7th from 7 – 8PM, and Saturday, September 20th from 10AM – 12PM in the QACHS Band Room. Attendance is not required at all of the before-mentioned rehearsals. This is to give plenty of opportunities for you to join us and is for instrumentalists and color guard alike.

Please complete this Google Form (https://forms.gle/qJM88RbKtL42LULw5) if you are interested in participating so we can get things together for you before our first rehearsal.

Aaaand that's a wrap on the 2025 Marching Lions Band's Band Camp. Today was Green and Gold Day. We almost forgot to take our picture at the lion. So, some had already departed. But, we have a group shot of them in ensemble at the field before drill rehearsal began. We were still missing four winds again today, and missing a color guard member as well.

Today was Sectional Color Day. Last Monday, each section chose a color for their section and used that to create their Sectional Poster. Then, that was the color they wore as a unified section today. The winds were missing three members of the Brass Section (a Trumpet and both Trombones) and the Woodwinds were missing a Flute. But, here are their posters and pictures.

Here are our one of a kind famous celebrities of the day. However, whether or not they chose to dress like a famous celebrity or just themselves today, they are all celebrities in our book.

Week 2 of Band Camp is flying by. The weather is much better this week and we are on a roll. Yesterday we made some tweaks that needed to be made to the Opener and that made it complete. Today, we began putting down the Production number. The theme days continue. Yesterday was Movie Monday and today Tie-Dye Tuesday. No picture was taken yesterday, but today's colorful crew had their Tie-Dye on. Be on the lookout for our Celebrities tomorrow.

Today, we wrapped up week 1 of Band Camp with White Out Friday. The kids either dressed in white or brought their white to use in our tie-dye social activity at the end of our day. Now, they are ready for next week's Tie-dye Tuesday.
