Many people with POTS either underdo activity and become deconditioned, or overdo it and trigger symptom flares because they do not understand their personal “do” level. Rapid progression, especially with severe orthostatic intolerance, often leads to worsening symptoms instead of improvement.
POTS rehabilitation follows the same principle as marathon training: gradual progression. Starting at your current capacity and adding small amounts of stress allows the autonomic nervous system to adapt without triggering crashes that can set progress back for weeks.
Taking it slow allows the body to adapt safely over time.
