Hello Friends,
A researcher friend of mine, Dr. Attila Lengyel from the University of Debrecen, Hungary is conducting a study on personal vacation experiences, and he’s looking for participants to fill out a short questionnaire. It only takes 10-15 minutes, is completely anonymous, and follows GDPR guidelines.

The survey focuses on vacations you’ve taken as an adult without children in your care (not work trips). It would be really appreciated if you could take a moment to help out!

Is your child anxious about new experiences? A new activity, new friend, or even just new challenges like homework?

🤓Here are some tips to help your kids navigate their feelings (like anxiety) and use them to be more resilient in daily life.

🫶 1. Attend to your own anxiety. If you are unsure and anxious, your kids will notice and it will send signals that amplify their worries.

🤲 2. Acknowledge (as opposed to minimizing or criticizing) your child’s feelings, and then explicitly tell them that you trust that they can handle it.

💪 3. Give them an empowerment/bravery tool they can use if they feel uncomfortable. Try a temporary tattoo, a bracelet, or another visual prompt that reminds them of a mantra, for example, “I’m strong and I can handle this. I’m wise and I can calm down my body with three deep breaths.” Or, teach them to stand in a brave, power posture that can help them feel stronger.
