Today we celebrated someone very special — Colleen! 💛

After 10 years of dedication, laughter, and care at Prairie Pines Lodge, she’s heading into a well-deserved retirement.

Colleen has been a steady, compassionate presence for our residents and staff alike — always ready with a kind word and a warm smile. She’s made a lasting difference here, and her absence will definitely be felt.

We’ll miss you, Colleen! Wishing you all the joy and relaxation in this next chapter. 💐

Keeping Safety in the Driver’s Seat! 🚗🛑
Many of our staff recently participated in a Crash Dynamics Driving Safety Course to better understand the science of crashes and learn life-saving driving techniques. Whether on the road for patient care, community outreach, or everyday commutes, we are committed to keeping both our team and community safe.

A big thank you to our speaker, Chuck Elley, retired Nebraska State Patrol, for sharing your expertise and providing such an engaging and informative session. We appreciate the valuable knowledge you brought to help keep our team — and the community — safer on the roads.

If you’ve had a fever AND symptoms like rash, red or irritated eyes, runny nose, or cough, and have recently traveled to an area of known outbreak — or been in contact with someone who has — please reschedule your visit if it’s within the past 21 days.

🚨 MEASLES EXPOSURE NOTICE – PLEASE READ BEFORE VISITING 🚨
Panhandle Public Health District has confirmed a measles case in Sheridan County. Measles is a highly contagious airborne virus that can spread rapidly in public spaces—even before symptoms appear.
📞 If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, do NOT enter the Hospital, ER, clinics, or any of our facilities without calling first:
Fever
Cough
Runny nose
Red or watery eyes
Rash (typically starting on the face and spreading)
👉 Call our nurses station at 308-432-0228 before entering any of our buildings.
🚷 Signs have been posted at all public entrances noting this as an "Area of Known Outbreak." These steps help us protect our most vulnerable patients and staff.
