🎉 Celebrating Progress in Diabetes Prevention! 🎉
Our 5th Diabetes Prevention Program cohort has officially completed the first 16 weeks of their year-long journey—and what an incredible start!
Since January 7, 2026, participants have collectively:
✅ Lost 133.2 pounds
✅ Logged 31,108 minutes of physical activity
As they move into the second half of the program, participants will focus on maintaining their progress or setting new personal goals as they continue building healthier habits through December 2026.
The Diabetes Prevention Program, developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, helps individuals at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes reduce their risk through sustainable lifestyle changes. Participants commit to a full year of coaching, goal setting, increased physical activity, and healthy habit development.
Chadron Hospital is proud to offer this evidence-based program free of charge to participants and support healthier communities across our region.
