So this is the "new thing " this week making our own books..... this right here this is a gold mine for that kindergarten readiness you always hear about. This right here this teaches the beginning middle end . This teaches how to organize our thoughts enough to get what's in our brains to the paper . This teaches colors and shapes and encourages writing and practicing those letter as we write our names and the other names of people or pets in the books. This helps us learn to recognize and organize those feelings and have a safe outlet to get them out. Good bad and indiffrent. This help teach us patience as we sit and make the books. Not to mention those fine motor skills. Each child care and preschool program has their own unique way of connecting to the kids and families. what works for one may not work for another and that is ok because no child or family is the same . I love that we each have the ability to teach in our own ways . Happiness is having your heart touched everyday by kids. I truly have the best " job " in the world.
