It’s Chagrin Valleys favorite week again, Blossom Time! I look forward to seeing some of my favorite parents and kiddos in the kiddie ride area! For those of you coming with littles, Geauga Women’s Specialties has put together a private area to clean and change your munchkins without having to leave the party. Look for the bright blue Geauga Women’s Specialties Mom and Baby Tent, near the Ferris Wheel!

Good morning everyone. We appreciate everyone’s patience recently with scheduling issues and with appointments running behind. We are currently short staffed and working on getting new staff in as quickly as possible. Today, if you call the office, the answering service will be answering all calls. We ARE open!
If you are calling for the following:
1. Possible labor, infection, or excessively heavy bleeding or other emergency that requires a same day appointment, please let the answering service know and we will work to get you added to the schedule today.

2. Question for your specific physician: you may either directly message them through the UH Follow My Health Portal or call tomorrow.

3. Scheduling a routine annual or other none urgent visit: You may either call tomorrow/later in the week or message Dr. Lentz-Hartup through the UH Follow My Health Portal with your name, the physician you normally see/preferred office, and reason for visit request and you will receive a call back for scheduling within the next 24 to 48 hours

We have been getting a lot of questions about pregnancy and the COVID-19 vaccine. Here is one of our favorite MFM’s sharing some great information on COVID-19 in pregnancy and the vaccine in pregnancy. Although the State of Ohio has dropped all mask mandates at this time, University Hospitals has made the decision to continue current masking policies. When you come for your appointment you and all visitors will be required to where an isolation (paper) mask on entering the building, and for the duration of your visit. Please keep your mask on even when the staff/physicians are not in the room. Thanks for helping us keep everyone safe and keep COVID-19 numbers going down!

It has been a minute since we posted but you ladies have been keeping us BUSY! UH is now on level Orange due to dropping COVID cases. This means that we can allow one visitor per patient in the office and two visitors per patient on L&D. All visitors and patients have to wear masks during the visit. In the office this includes when we are not in the room. On L&D masks can be taken off when there is no medical or ancillary staff in the room, if the patient is negative for COVID. All surgical and labor patients are still getting tested for COVID either prior to admission or on admission to the hospital. L&D is still hosting virtual classes and tours for our OB patients. Tours are every other Sunday at 2:00 PM, info for sign up can be found on uhhospitals.org or by calling 216-844-4000.
