📣 **Doctor Spotlight: Meet Dr. Rebecca Walker!**
Dr. Walker is a board-certified ophthalmologist with specialized fellowship training in glaucoma. She earned her B.S. with honors from the University of Michigan, then graduated from Washington University School of Medicine (Alpha Omega Alpha), and completed her residency—including serving as Chief Resident—at Washington University/Barnes Hospital.
As part of her expertise, Dr. Walker completed a year-long fellowship program in the field of glaucoma at the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Walker is a diplomat, fellow and board-examiner of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO). In her capacity as Board Examiner, Dr. Walker is responsible for ensuring that her peers have the necessary qualifications to become practicing ophthalmologists. In 2001 she was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.), an honor bestowed on experienced surgeons by their peers. Dr. Walker has been on the Board of Directors for the Bucks County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired for the past 10 years and is committed to helping those who are visually impaired.
In 2002 Dr. Walker opened her private practice in Chalfont with her colleague Dr Sucheski and has since become a leading expert in glaucoma care in Bucks and Montgomery Counties.
Dr. Walker has been honored to be chosen multiple years in a row by Philadelphia magazine as one of the top doctors in ophthalmology!
In addition to glaucoma surgery, she performs state-of-the-art, small-incision, suture-less cataract surgery to ensure her patients the best post-operative results available. She is deeply committed to patient-centered care
Outside the office, Dr. Walker is a devoted runner and a proud mother of three grown children who also share her passion for eye health and community wellness.
