⁉️ Did You Know ⁉️

Symptoms of dry eyes may include blurry vision or even itching, burning, and watering eyes? It sounds like a hoax when watering can be a symptom of dry eye, but it produces excessive tears to compensate for the dryness the eye is experiencing.

We're celebrating the workforce this Labor Day!

Dry eyes can be the root cause of blurry vision. The driving reason behind contacts not fitting comfortably or the clarity not being there anymore? Dryness. The reason things seem to be dull when they were fine a month ago? Dryness. There’s a couple easy lifestyle adjustments that you can make to help to improve your dryness, without spending a dime!

Warm compresses, exercise, increase in water intake, sun protection and proper lid hygiene are just a few!

You know that saying… the one that kind of makes you smile and just sit back with a smile on your face? It goes something like:

“It’s the little things in life”

Yeah that one.

It’s things like this that truly make us smile. By incorporating the tiniest of adjustment in their daily routine, this patient (and a few others) help us to ship back plastic to be recycled rather than taking up space at the landfill. It may not seem like a lot, but the smallest of efforts truly do add up. Do our Earth a favor, and bring by your contacts blisters, solution bottles, contact cases, and eye drop bottles so we can send them in with our quarterly shipment 🌳🌎

Fireworks-related eye injuries can combine blunt force trauma, heat burns and chemical exposure. An eye injury from fireworks is a medical emergency. Call 911 or seek immediate medical care. In the meantime, follow these guidelines:

- Do not rub your eyes.
- Do not rinse your eyes.
- Do not apply pressure.
- Do not remove any objects that are stuck in the eye.
- Do not apply ointments or take any blood-thinning pain medications such as aspirin or ibuprofen unless directed by a doctor.
