The time has come to shut my door, Topaz Massage Studio is closing. As most of my clients know, I had surgery 2 weeks ago that will no longer allow me to do massage.
While I am saddened about this, I am also very grateful for the opportunity to have gone to school and learned the art of massage. I have successfully run my own studio for 4 years and learned so much, gained so many friendships, bonds never to be broken. My clients are very much family to me. You allowed me to work with you, put your trust in me to bring you comfort and hopefully some relief. What YOU didn't know is YOU were bringing me comfort. Each client that laid upon my table had a story, happy, sad, joyous and devastating. I felt you, I heard you and I cared.
I would so often sit with clients before their massage and address what they needed physically and so often it became what they also needed psychologically. I am no dr, I am no psychologist, but what I am is a good listener. I hope each of you felt heard and cared about.
You will find me at home recovering, reading, working on my plants, crocheting for now. I don't know what my future looks like, but I know it will be a positive one.
