Time change can be difficult for everyone but particularly children.

The switch to daylight saving time can be hard on younger children as they adjust to the new time change. Even a small interruption to their sleep can have an impact throughout the next day.

Here are 5 tips to help create a successful bedtime routine, courtesy of Akron Children's Hospital:

✅ Limit screen time before bed
✅ Create a relaxing environment
✅ Encourage an active lifestyle
✅ Follow a consistent and calming bedtime routine
💕 Be patient and supportive as they adjust to the time change

Yes! Don’t wait.

Four is a GREAT age to start speech therapy if:
1. You are still interpreting what they’re saying to other people
2. You’ve been wondering if they’ll “catch up,” but they haven’t yet.

My goal is always to get kids 95-100% intelligible by the time they start school, so I don’t recommend leaving it any later.
