We are so grateful to be part of a caring and supportive community. Thank you, Franklin County, PA, and all who participated in this fundraiser, for your generosity.

In March, Franklin County employees supported Arc of Franklin & Fulton Counties through the county's monthly "dress down" fundraiser in honor of Developmental Disabilities Month. Through this fundraiser, 138 employees across 21 departments raised $700 for the nonprofit.

The commissioners, along with Keri Kenney, Franklin County human resources coordinator, presented the donation to Arc staff Katie Dillman, Lisa Grimes and Wendy Buckwalter earlier this month.

April is Autism Awareness Month đź’™

This month, we celebrate and recognize individuals on the autism spectrum—their strengths, perspectives, and the unique ways they experience the world. It’s also a time to build understanding, promote acceptance, and support inclusion in our community.

Let’s take a moment to listen, learn, and stand together to create a more compassionate and inclusive world for everyone.

While Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month may be ending, our commitment does not.
March reminded us that awareness is important — but action, inclusion, and listening are what truly make a difference.
At The Arc of Franklin-Fulton Counties, we remain dedicated to promoting dignity, respect, opportunity, and belonging for individuals with developmental disabilities — not just this month, but every day of the year.
Let’s continue building communities where everyone is valued and everyone belongs. 💙

As March comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a month filled with learning, listening, celebrating, and growing together.
Throughout Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, we focused on:
Awareness – Building understanding.
Inclusion – Exploring what true belonging looks like in our community.
Breaking Barriers – Replacing myths with facts and raising expectations.
Self-Advocate Voices – Hearing directly from individuals about what they are proud of and the goals they are working toward.
Thank you to everyone who followed along, engaged, and supported the conversation throughout March. Your involvement helps strengthen our community!
