The Path to ReOpening
As you are aware, the State of Illinois is moving our area of the state into Phase 3 of the recovery process. In response, BWA will begin a phased reopening process beginning June 1 and lasting until June 15. During these two weeks, we will be seeing clients on a restricted basis and online scheduling will not be available. We are trying to work through the many people on our waiting list and do so in a safe and thoughtful manner.
Words cannot express how much we appreciate the kindness, concern, support, and patience you have shown during this most difficult process. I have spoken with many of you over the phone or by email in the last several weeks and your support has been inspiring and uplifting.
New Protocols
In order to protect the safety of both our clients and the staff, there will be several changes to the process of having an appointment with us. Many of these changes are likely familiar to you as many businesses are following a similar protocol. One of the changes specific to massage therapy is a limit of the duration of sessions to 30 minutes. We are also increasing the gap between appointments to allow for intensive sanitization procedures. By nature, this will limit the available appointment availability and we appreciate your patience with that.
Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask a few screening questions. You will be asked those same questions again when you are in the office. We will have you sign a screening form confirming your answers, so you may want to bring your own pen.
These questions include:
· Have you had a fever in the last 24 hours of 100°F or above?
Ā· Do you now, or have you recently had, any respiratory or flu symptoms, sore throat, or shortness of breath?
Ā· Have you been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has coronavirus-type symptoms?
Have you recently traveled anywhere with a high incidence rate of COVID?
When you arrive at the office, please remain in your car and call or text us that you have arrived. We will take your temperature and will have hand sanitizer for you to use when you enter the office.
Ā· Both the staff and the clients are required to wear a mask. Please bring your own to preserve our supply of masks for our staff.
Ā· Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that youāre offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
Ā· We are also allowing a greater time between clients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
We appreciate your patience with these new protocols as we work to continue to be of service in the safest possible way for everyone.
