Illinois Regions 1,2 & 5 (we have 11 regions) were able to move to Tier 2 Mitigations today. Our region, Region 6 remains in Tier 3 requiring a letter of medical necessity in order for clients to receive massage. I will continue to keep up to date on the regulations and local infection rates. For now, my massage practice is still on hold and not open. Please feel free to reach out to me. My hands miss getting to do what they love! Massage is currently restricted without a Doctor's referral under the current Tier 3 Guidelines. It has been quite an unexpected year, first with our required shutdown in March and then deciding to remain closed while trying to determine the safety in re-opening and now with Massage being restricted again. I am hoping to be able to re-open in January (if Massage Therapy is allowed). Please feel free to reach out, I would love to hear from you!

2020 has been such an unexpected experience. I miss seeing clients. My office remains closed but I trust we will be together again when the time is right. I wanted to give you a quick update on where I am at with re-opening.

I was really hoping to open mid-July, but unfortunately our local infection rates began increasing at that same time. Champaign county just recorded it’s highest 2 weeks on record.

As much as I want to return to massage, I want even more to keep my clients safe. I feel I can best do that by not offering massage at this time given the inherent close, prolonged contact of massage therapy.

I don’t know what to think in regards to an opening date. I miss seeing you and have been thinking “it will be better next week or the week after,” but with local schools and the U of I opening in just a few weeks I am feeling less optimistic right now.
