Monarch meets JAWS: a whole new way to read in braille
Monarch users, the September JAWS update is here and it changes the way you read and work.
Now you can read text naturally with wrapped mode, which adjusts lines to fit the Monarch’s display. You can explore tables on websites or spreadsheets with cropped mode, no guessing where columns begin and end. And you can work more efficiently with split braille, turning your Monarch into two displays in one.
Update both your Monarch and JAWS today to start using these features and see everything we’ve added in Monarch v1.3.

Lily isn’t just reading she’s flying through her book on a Brailliant, smiling as she does it, proving braille is fast, modern, and alive.
Viewers loved her confidence, laughed when she said “it’s already on” and joked that she must have superpowers to get the USB in right on the first try.
But beyond the humor is something powerful: every day, kids like Lily get to fall in love with reading because the technology exists to make it possible.
