Today we remember SP5 Giacomo James Cintineo of Phoenix, Arizona. Giacomo is remembered by his best friend, Frederick:
"Jim,
I will never forget our friendship or the h***h we shared. Jim was born in New York City and moved with his family to Phoenix, Arizona at 15 years old. I remember the day you left to go on R&R & I went out on an operation. Upon my return, at the memorial service, the commander read your name. You died on Christmas Day 1966 while on R&R from Blackwater Fever. You were awarded the Silver Star Medal for exemplary gallantry in action. You served as a Medical NCO (Combat Medic) and were assigned to Hq & Hq Co, 1st Bn, 327th Infantry, 101st Airborne Div. Forever remembered."
