Once you hit your 40s, you may have noticed your body’s playing by a whole new set of rules (thanks, hormones 😅).

Slower metabolism. Less muscle. Cravings that come outta nowhere.

That’s where protein steps in — and no, it’s not just for bodybuilders.

Protein is essential for:

I am passionate about what I do because I’ve lived it.

And over the years, through my own journey and supporting other women, these 5 beliefs have become the foundation of everything I teach.

Because here’s the truth:

I used to think something was wrong with me. 😢

I was doing everything I thought I was supposed to… eating healthy, exercising, trying to stay positive, and yet I felt exhausted (physically and emotionally), anxious and depressed and just... off.

The truth?

I was in perimenopause and no one had ever told me what that actually looked or felt like.
Doctors offered me prescriptions and told me to eat right and exercise.

They even told me I’m tired all the time because I’m a mom.

But none of that helped me feel like me again.

So I went searching for answers. And what I found changed everything.

Functional medicine taught me that symptoms like brain fog, mood swings, weight gain, anxiety, and fatigue aren’t random…they’re messages.

And when we get to the root cause, we can actually heal from the inside out.

That’s what inspired me to create the SIMPLE Method. A framework that supports your whole self through this season of life:

🔸Sleep: So your body can reset and repair.

🔸Intermittent Fasting: Done gently, to support blood sugar and hormone balance.

🔸Meal Planning: To keep it simple and sustainable.

🔸Protein: To stabilize your energy, your cravings, and your confidence.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 19 years today since my mom passed. Nearly two decades without her here…without her voice, her presence and hugs.

Some days, it feels like a lifetime. Other days, like it was just yesterday.

Today, I don’t have many words. My energy is low, and maybe that’s the universe’s way of telling me to slow down…to just be.

As women, we rarely do that. We push through, care for everyone else, and put ourselves last. My mom lived that way, always showing up for others, rarely for herself.

So today, in her honor, I’m resting. And I’m giving myself permission to be okay with that.
