I’m about to turn 50, and instead of a party, I’m gifting myself a solo mindfulness retreat. 🧘

This is my first solo trip ever. No family, no friends, just me, my thoughts, my journal, and a lighter bag—both physically and mentally.

My mom felt lost at this age, but I’m choosing to pause, breathe, take a break from the chaos of life, and ground myself.

It’s a gift I’m grateful for, and a big shout-out to my husband for holding down the fort.

So if you’ve been waiting for a sign to do something solo, just for you, this is it!

I’ll report back on how it feels to reconnect with me. 💞

Your thyroid is your body’s metabolic control center, and when it’s off, you feel it.

Symptoms of low thyroid can look like:

😴 fatigue
⚖️ weight gain
🌫️ brain fog
😔 low mood
💇‍♀️ thinning hair

Here’s the tricky part…

These are the SAME symptoms many women experience in perimenopause, which is why thyroid issues are often missed.

You’re told it’s “just hormones,” or worse, that everything looks “normal.”

Most providers only test TSH, but that doesn’t tell the full story.

To really understand your thyroid, you need more testing and the right questions to ask your doctor. I break it all down in this episode of the You’re Not Crazy! It’s Perimenopause podcast.
