❓What has your body been trying to tell you?

✨ I spent the last few days barely able to move.
A vicious vertigo episode made it hard to open my eyes, stand, walk, or eat.

For the first time since I started my massage and wellness practice last May, I had to cancel on a client because I was ill. While it’s not the first time I’ve not felt well over the past year, it was the first time I couldn’t “push through.” My will didn’t mean anything with the world quite literally spinning around me…

So I was left to be still— not by desire through meditation, but through a force greater than me in the moment. And after fighting for a few days, I decided to listen and allow and remind myself of what it means to actually HEAR my body when it tells me to slow down or move or nourish it or fast.

I listened to it, not realizing that I’d gotten out of the habit of doing so… Paying attention to myself—without fear or judgment—is a habit that’s brought me out of some dark places.

I’m grateful to feel better, and I’m grateful for the reminder to stop and pay attention when my body asks me to listen. She is a wise woman with a lot to say.
