Louis, Mo. After completing a two year LDS mission, he performed undergraduate work at Drake University. His medical degree was completed at Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in 2001. He completed a three year surgical residency in 2004. Dr. Evansโs residency provided him with extensive training in all aspects of treatment, both conservative and surgical, in foot and
ankle pathology. He also worked with plastic surgeons at The Grossman Burn Center treating burn victims. In addition, he spent many weekends in Mexicali, Mexico, treating crippled children. His last year of training was spent at Kaiser Foundation Hospitals in Sacramento, CA, specializing in all aspects of lower extremity trauma and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Evans is board certified in forefoot, hindfoot, and ankle reconstructive surgery. He has been in private practice for over 10 years. On a personal note, Dr. Evans loves the outdoors. He enjoys hiking, camping, and fishing. He was a member of a high school state championship golf team and also has recently been an individual state mountain bike champion. Dr. Evans is kind, compassionate, and has a love for everyone. He is also fluent in Spanish.
