Solar Eclipse April 8, 2024.

The path of totality does not extend to Arizona. Metro Phoenix residents will be able to see a partial eclipse for about 2.5 hours, with only 64% of the sun being obstructed by the moon. The National Weather Service in Phoenix is predicting cloud coverage of only 39% around 11 a.m., but there is still some uncertainty.

“The main uncertainty with cloud cover that we have right now is going to be the timing of when that cloud cover may push out,” said Ryan Worley, a meteorologist at the weather service in Phoenix.
