🌺 Aloha from Mosaic Gardens at Chandler! 🌺

Our Mosaic Gardens family enjoyed a festive Hawaiian Luau, complete with a special lunch prepared by our very own Program Director, Melissa. The dining room was beautifully decorated, thanks to the teamwork of our Kitchen Manager and Program Director, who started bright and early to bring the island spirit to life. Together, they also welcomed each resident and Care Partner to breakfast with a cheerful Aloha and a fresh lei.

Love and joy filled the room as our management team came together to serve, allowing committee members the chance to simply relax and enjoy the day. Everyone was treated to a delicious meal and lively entertainment from a talented Polynesian dancer. Residents and staff even joined in, learning a few hip-shaking moves that had everyone laughing together.

This day was a true celebration of ‘Ohana~family, togetherness, and love right here at Mosaic Gardens.

Friendships: often formed in our youth carry with them the hope of lasting a lifetime, turning friends into family. But do we ever stop to consider that some of the most meaningful friendships are made later in life?
This week, our Welcoming Committee gathered to greet a few new residents, as well as some who had left and returned. In those moments of reunion and homecoming, it struck us that friendships often appear when we least expect them and at times when we need them the most.
A diagnosis of dementia does not stop the gift of friendship. Our Welcoming Committee is made up of women from diverse backgrounds and different ethnicities, each bringing her own story and joy.
In Our MUSE program one truth stands firm: friendships built through genuine engagement are the ones that hold the most value and often last a lifetime.
This week was filled with laughter, jokes, and playful banter as we awaited the arrival of new family into our community. It was, and continues to be, a complete joy to share these special moments with such amazing residents.

Join us for our Hawaiian Luau (Next Week) on Thursday, August 21st, 2025 at 12:00 PM!
Enjoy a delicious Hawaiian-style meal prepared by our very own Program Director, featuring one of her ʻohana’s favorite recipes shared with her friends and family here in our community.
At 12:30 PM, be dazzled by authentic Hawaiian dancers who will bring the spirit of the islands to life.
It’s sure to be a joyful and memorable afternoon!

This week, a few of our residents had the chance to dive into the world of virtual reality! They were whisked away to the beach and the great outdoors, all from the comfort of our community. It was a refreshing and exciting break from the everyday routine. A special thank you to our friends at Aegis for sharing their gift of Rendever with us.
We also gathered for a lively game of Community Bingo, complete with prizes of handfuls of candy. Our big winners were sweetened up even more than they already are! It was a wonderful week filled with smiles, laughter, and a whole lot of fun.

Sweet Fun at Mosaic Gardens!
Today at Mosaic Gardens, our residents enjoyed a fun and interactive “cooking” demo with Melissa! On the menu? A delicious and simple chocolate frosting made with brownie mix and whipped cream served on graham crackers.
Residents jumped right in, helping to measure ingredients, separate graham crackers, and prepare them for our tasty frosting. The easy recipe (1-part brownie mix to 1.5 parts whipped cream) was a hit! It’s made with ingredients commonly found in most cupboards, making it a great go-to treat.
As part of our MUSE/Montessori-inspired program, activities like this give our residents the opportunity to engage in purpose-driven, hands-on fun. Today’s purpose? Creating something sweet and satisfying together.
The end result? Smiles, laughter, and plenty of requests for seconds!

A Blooming Day at Mosaic!
It was a wonderfully busy day here at Mosaic Gardens as we embraced creativity and community! Our Flower Arranging activity was a highlight, led by the talented Presidents of our Welcoming, Activities, and Decorating Committees. As part of our MUSE/Montessori program, these amazing ladies showcased their artistic flair, thoughtfully unpacking and arranging each bloom into stunning displays. Their beautiful creations now brighten our community for everyone to enjoy.
But the joy didn’t stop there; we also celebrated our July birthdays today! Residents, staff, and friends gathered to honor our birthday stars with cake, laughter, and heartfelt connection.
A very special thank you to Aegis Hospice for their generous donation of flowers and cake. Your support helped make today truly memorable. We appreciate you!

Celebrating Community Through Creativity!
On Thursday, Mosaic Gardens came alive with color and creativity during our Ink Painting Party with Steve! Residents fully embraced self-expression, turning blank tiles into vibrant masterpieces. It was a joy to watch everyone explore their inner artist as the ink swirled and settled into beautiful, one-of-a-kind designs.
Our MUSE/Montessori program was in full bloom, with members of our Decorating Committee lending their talents to help set the scene and serve up delicious treats before the painting began. This event was more than just fun it was a powerful reminder that the ability to learn and create never fades, even in Memory Care.
A heartfelt thank you to Steve for sharing his time, talent, and enthusiasm with our community. Every tile painted is a testament to the creativity and joy that thrives here at Mosaic.

Spontaneous Joy at Mosaic!
Today, we turned up the music and turned down the routine—ditching exercise class for an impromptu dance party! 💃🕺
Laughter echoed through the halls as our bodies moved to the rhythm, and even our Wellness Director couldn’t resist getting into the groove.

This is what our MUSE/Montessori program is all about: sparking joy, building friendships, and creating meaningful moments that bring life, love, and laughter to our community.

Meet Dee!
We’re thrilled to welcome Deanna; better known as “Dee” as one of our newest residents here at Mosaic Gardens at Chandler! In just a short time, Dee has already made a big impact on our community. Her warm personality and willingness to jump right in have made her an essential part of our MUSE/Montessori program.

From her morning iced coffee ritual (we think it's her secret superpower!) to taking on the role of President of our Activity Committee, Dee is all about connection, creativity, and community. She’s already taught our Program Manager how to make candles, whip up the perfect iced coffee, and even inspired others to dive into arts and crafts.

We’re so lucky to have Dee’s vibrant energy and leadership here at Mosaic. Welcome to the family, Dee!

Purposeful Moments at Mosaic Gardens at Chandler
It’s been a lively and fulfilling week here at Mosaic Gardens at Chandler! From bowling and bean bag games to hands-on candle making and tending to our Eldergrow garden, our residents have embraced each day with energy, creativity, and connection.
Our MUSE/Montessori program has been at the heart of this week’s activities; promoting purposeful engagement, building dexterity, and bringing our community together through meaningful experiences. Physical activities like bowling and bean bag tossing have encouraged movement and agility, supporting both mind and body wellness.
A special highlight was our candle making session; our Program Director's first attempt! Thankfully, our talented residents took the lead, guiding the process from melting the wax to pouring the final product. Each candle was created with care and entirely resident-made; a wonderful example of collaboration and empowerment.
Our Eldergrow garden continues to thrive with tomatoes, green peppers, and our Bird of Paradise, now joined by a variety of new herbs including sage, rosemary, lavender, eucalyptus, mint, and lemon verbena. These additions not only enhance our sensory experiences but also bring new purpose to our gardening routine.
At Mosaic Gardens, we’re proud to offer enriching, person-centered programming that celebrates community, purpose, and joy every single day.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to each and every one of our Care Partners for their hard work, dedication, and passion. Their efforts have been instrumental in making our MUSE program the success it is today!

Mosaic Gardens Got a Splash of Summer! 🌞🎨
So far this week at Mosaic Gardens, we embraced the spirit of summer through a fun and creative seashell painting activity! As part of our MUSE/Montessori program, this hands-on art project helped our residents build hand dexterity while exploring their artistic side.
With every brushstroke, we fostered connection, purpose, and joy, bringing our community together in the most colorful way. Even our staff rolled up their sleeves and joined in, making it a truly shared experience in self-expression.
